The Skull Cavern resides in a cave in the North-West corner of the Calico Desert. It is initially locked and requires the Skull Key to gain access.
Like the Mines, floors are progressed by finding the ladder either dropped by a foe or under a rock. Also, holes can be found that allow the player to jump multiple levels at a time. jumps of 7 or greater deal damage to the player when jumping, there is no way to tell how many levels any hole offers until after jumping.
The Caverns offer no save points or fast travel and seem to go on indefinitely.
Once you travel in the cavern, you get a quest from Qi to reach level 25 and the reward is 10,000g.

- Mummy (Can only be killed with Template:ItemLink after being knocked out with another weapon.)
- Slimes (Giant)
- Armored Bug (invulnerable to all tested damage)
- Lava Bat (Rare spawn)
