For Big Slimes, the chance is 0.9 * 0.005 = 0.0045. That's all I could find in the game code. margotbean (talk) 18:49, 25 August 2022 (UTC)

It's in GameLocation.monsterDrop - after killing 50 hard mode monsters, any hard monster has a 0.1% ( + 0.02*luck %) chance of dropping a galaxy sole. (Slightly less if they're in the secret woods techincally, but hard mode monsters don't appear there outside of mods).
