Luau

The Luau is a festival that takes place on the 11th of every Summer. You can enter the Luau between 9:00AM and 2:00PM at The Beach.

This festival does not have a booth.

People of the town bring different ingredients to prepare a soup for the Governor; talk to Mayor Lewis to end the festival.

When the festival ends, you will be returned home at 10:00PM.

Task

Bring one thing that you would like to add to the potluck. Only edible, uncooked items are valid. It is stated that you should bring fresh, good quality produce.

There are 6 possible outcomes depending on the item you add. For the following values, an item's worth is the base price before quality and profession bonuses are applied (e.g. Cauliflower is 175g).

• The governor will respond with "Oh my... that's the best soup I've ever tasted!" and the player gains a moderate amount of friendship with the town citizens.
  • If the item is gold quality and is worth at least 160g.
  • If the item is silver quality, is worth at least 300g, and has an energy rating more than +35.
• The governor will respond with "Ah... that's a very pleasant soup. The produce from this valley never disappoints!" and the player gains a small amount of friendship with the town citizens.
  • If the item is gold quality: Has an energy value of at least +90 and/or is worth at least 70g and less than 160g.
  • If the item is silver quality: Has an energy value of at least +70 and/or is worth at least 70g and less than 300g
  • If the item is normal quality: Has an energy value of at least +50 and/or is worth at least 100g
• The governor will respond with "Hmm... I don't have much to say about this. It's an average soup." with no change to friendship with the town citizens.
  • If the item is gold or silver quality:
    • Is worth more than 20g and less than 70g, and has an energy value of at least +35 for silver and +45 for gold,
    • Or is worth at least 40g and less than 70g, and has an energy value of at least +18 for silver and +23 for gold.
  • If the item is normal quality:
    • Is worth more than 20g and less than 100g, and has an energy value of at least +25,
    • Or is worth at least 40g and less than 100g, and has an energy value of at least +13.
• The governor will respond with "Um... It's actually kind of disgusting. I think I'll pass on the soup this year." and the player will lose a small amount of friendship with the town citizens.
  • If the item is any quality, and is worth less than 20g and has an energy value of at least 0 and less than +10
  • If the item is any quality and is worth less than 40g and has an energy value of at least 0 and less than +5
• The governor will respond with "Blech! This is vile! I think I'm going to be sick..." before turning green and passing out, and the player will lose a moderate amount of friendship with the town citizens.
  • If the item is any quality and has an energy value less than 0.
• The governor will respond with "Hmmm... Well it's not bad, but it's missing something... Did everyone in town contribute an ingredient to the soup? I feel like it's missing someone's unique voice." with no change to friendship with the town citizens.
  • If no item is added to the soup.
